Geoff Shattock will be in Jacksonville, Florida till the end of the month. The purpose of the trip is team building and networking. Throughout his stay, Geoff will be meeting with local pastors and leaders. He will also be addressing the Jacksonville Business Fellowship, running a stress management seminar for church staff and preparing the pioneering 40 day programme for Spring 2011.
On the 12th June join us at the Purley Baptist Church for a one day conference. We will be looking at the way Jesus from Nazareth handled His immense work on a cross, try to take an example from Him and learn how we today can work well by working spiritually. It was a privilege to be a guest at St Michael’s & St Stephen’s Church service on 21th March. Geoff preached on seven secrets of working spiritually. We hope to revisit in the Autumn for a further service and a day conference.
We are pleased to announce Marta Barnert joins the team today as Executive Assistant to Geoff Shattock. Marta comes from Poland and has just graduated in this country with a degree in PR and Spanish. She will be specializing in developing our social media presence, book marketing programme and production of materials as well as assisting founder in the delivery of the Worktalk’s vision. For the Lent season this year, we have broadcast a six-part series looking at gentle moments on Jesus’ journey. This turned out to be also a series on Jesus’ encounters with women. You can download the series from our online archive.
Geoff Shattock visits Jacksonville, Florida for most of this month. This trip is for networking, team building and preparation for further visits later in the year. During the month, Geoff met with numerous pastors; spoke at three business fellowships; presented to two business people’s gatherings; did a church staff stress seminar, as well as some coaching for a senior Christian leader. Plans were laid for a new team member to start in September, further visits in May as well as a pioneering 40 day programme for Spring 2011.
